Vanguard Long-Term Bond ETF is an exchange traded fund (ETF) that aggregates investments in the top performing long-term bonds. Established in 2006, the fund is managed by the Vanguard Group, an investment management firm that is headquartered in Pennsylvania and operates globally.
The Vanguard Long-Term Bond ETF looks to track the performance of the Bloomberg Barclays US long government and credit float adjusted index. This includes investment in all medium and large-issue US government bonds, investment grade corporate bonds, and investment-grade international dollar denominated bonds. In particular, the BLV stock will invest client funds in bonds with maturities of more than 10 years and that are publicly issued. Around 80% of the funds’ assets will be invested in bonds, which are chosen through a rigorous selection and sampling process. |
