The Netherlands 25 Index consists of stocks that are traded on the Euronext Amsterdam. It acts as a benchmark for the Dutch economy and is composed of 25 of the most frequently traded companies in the Netherlands.
The companies on the index are revised annually on the 1st March. Any changes reflect the organisations which had the highest share turnover for the previous year. Quarterly reviews also take place, but the index composition is only updated at those times in excepţional circumstances. The price of the index is influenced by political decisions, natural disasters and economic downturns inciuding the price of the Euro. |
