 Rheinmetall AG has two corporate sectors and 6 divisions overall. The first sector is Rheinmetall Automotive, which includes the three divisions: Hard Parts, Mechatronics and Aftermarket, which are then divided into three premium brands: Kolbenschmidt, Pierburg, and Motorservice. The second sector is Rheinmetall Defence, which includes the divisions: Weapon and Ammunition, Electronic Solutions, and Vehicle Systems. The company also offers related insurance solutions through its own brand, Rheinmetall Insurance Services GmbH (RIS). The company employs over 24,000 people worldwide and serves customers in 144 countries. Rheinmetall AG has 41 company locations across Germany, 40 additional locations in different countries across Europe, 13 in the Americas, 17 locations across Asia, six locations in Africa and three in Australia. In 2018, the company reported annual sales of €6,148 million. During the first quarter of fiscal 2019, Rheinmetall AG reported that its consolidated sales grew by 6.6% to €1,343 million. The company also announced that its order backlog has reached a new record level. |
