Founded in 1882, the company was initially known as Vistra Energy Corp. and changed its name to Vistra Corp in July 2020. Headquartered in Irving, Texas, the company mainly operates in the United States but serves markets in Canada and Japan as well.
The organisation has six segments, namely Retail, Texas, East West Sunset and Asset Closure. Vistra supplies electricity and gas to customers throughout 20 states in the United States, as well as the District of Columbia.
